Welcome to Tangla College, one of the premier institutions of higher education in the entire Bodoland Territorial Council, Assam (India). The College was set up in 1970 with the noble objective of catering the needs of higher education to the socially and economically backward masses of the region. The establishment of Tangla College was a bold step in spreading and promoting higher education and dissemination of knowledge in the North-Western part of the then Darrang District and now the Udalguri District of Assam. Since its inception, Tangla College has been the nerve-centre for intellectual, academic, sports and cultural pursuits in the region.

Imparting formal education in as many as 18 different departments in Arts, Commerce, Science and Computer Science, the College, of late, has been striving to add the element of value education by way of teaching with more humanitarian perspective than the mechanical result-oriented cram-and-write method and to fulfill its motto “Let the Light of Knowledge Spread over all Corners”.
